Rep. Nancy Mace Reaffirms Her Position Against U.S. Ground Troops In Iran

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Mar. 25, 2026)- Today, Congresswoman Nancy Mace doubled down on her stance against boots on the ground in Iran following a House Armed Services Committee briefing on the ongoing conflict.

"We will not support any effort to put U.S. troops on the ground in Iran," said Congresswoman Mace."The Washington war machine is trying to turn Iran into another Iraq. Our troops are not to be used for another endless war."

Rep. Mace praised President Trump's efforts so far in the region but emphasized Congress must resist pressure from the Washington war machine. She also raised concerns about the differences between the military objectives being presented publicly and those shared with members of Congress in a House Armed Services briefing earlier today.

"There is a clear gap between what's being said publicly and what we were told behind closed doors. This is deeply concerning. The longer this conflict goes on, the faster it will lose support in Congress and across the country," Mace added.

Following reports the Pentagon is seeking an additional $200 billion in funding tied to the Iran conflict, Rep. Mace made her stance clear once again.

"If a single American boot touches Iranian soil, I will vote no. I will not fund sending South Carolina's sons and daughters to die in a ground war in Iran. If being wrong means standing up for our military, then I don't want to be right," Mace continued.
