NEW YORK, NY, Sept. 14, 2026, Compass announced the launch of the Compass Global Division, a new internal network built to give U.S.-based clients the same standard of service and continuity abroad that they already expect at home. Core members admitted to the Division's elite Tier 1 are U.S.-based Compass agents who also hold independent standing to transact in a foreign market, giving Compass agents a confident path to vetted Division members who deliver a consistently high standard of service in the relevant international market.
For years, discerning clients buying property abroad, securing a second home overseas, or exploring residency-by-investment options have found the international market surprisingly fragmented. A trusted U.S. relationship rarely followed them across borders. The Compass Global Division closes that gap by giving Compass agents a familiar, accountable path to vetted Division members with established international experience.
"For more than two decades, I've watched clients build extraordinary lives in the U.S., only to hit a wall the moment their ambitions crossed a border," said John Eric, Global Head of the Compass Global Division. "The Compass Global Division exists to remove that wall. This is the next chapter of how Compass shows up for its clients, wherever in the world they call home."
The Division's founding members and executive leadership team are:
John Eric, Global Head of Division (United Kingdom)
Kelly Robinson, Global Head of Business Development (United Arab Emirates)
Harmony Hoefner, Global Head of Marketing (Costa Rica & Latin America)
Megan Probst, Global Head of Systems and Tracking (Dominican Republic)
Division members bring experience in both U.S. and international real estate, helping clients receive the communication, accountability and service standards they expect at home while navigating an overseas transaction, using the same Compass tools and resources agents already rely on domestically.
"To John's point, sophisticated clients enter international markets and lose the level of service they're accustomed to in the U.S.," said Kelly Robinson, Global Head of Business Development. "No one should be forced to lower their expectations simply because they've crossed a border. Now it's time to build the bridge."
Trust is especially critical in cross-border purchases, where unfamiliar transaction practices, language and cultural differences, and local legal and tax requirements add complexity. By connecting clients to a vetted Division member with relevant market experience, the Division provides a familiar, accountable starting point that removes much of the uncertainty from buying property abroad.
"We are entering a new era of global homeownership, one where crossing a border should no longer mean lowering the standard of representation," said Harmony Hoefner, Global Head of Marketing. "The most valuable thing a global buyer invests in isn't simply a property. It's trust: trust in the market, the people guiding the transaction, and the life they're choosing to build."
Behind that experience is a system built to match it: every referral and transaction across the Division's international network is tracked with the same discipline and transparency clients already expect domestically.
"We're witnessing more people move across borders right now than at any point in recorded history," said Megan Probst, Global Head of Systems and Tracking. "That complexity is exactly why we built this division: every referral and transaction is tracked with the same discipline our clients expect at home, and the same infrastructure behind our agents, so that trust travels with both the client and the advisor representing them."
Members can also connect clients with established networks of independent local professionals, including licensed brokerages, legal counsel, tax advisers and other qualified specialists, who provide support before, during and after an international purchase.
"The Compass Global Division marks a significant step forward in expanding our global reach while empowering our agents with the targeted resources they need," said Neda Navab, Compass President. "By organizing our top international talent into structured tiers, we are creating a clear roadmap for professional growth and ensuring that our global clients receive unmatched advisory services anywhere in the world."
The Division was developed by agents who had already built international businesses and saw an opportunity to make those connections more useful to the broader Compass community, giving agents a clearer way to share expertise and support clients whose needs extend beyond the U.S.
About the Compass Global Division
The Compass Global Division is Compass' agent-to-agent network connecting U.S.-based Compass agents with vetted Division members who maintain established international real estate practices, giving clients a trusted resource for real estate needs outside the United States. Depending on the jurisdiction, members may operate through an independently owned brokerage, an affiliation with a locally licensed firm, or another legally permitted arrangement. Compass is licensed to provide brokerage services only within the United States. Legal, tax, and immigration matters connected to the Division's work are handled by independent, locally licensed advisers, not by Compass or the Division.
