* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Maui in Maui County in Hawaii...

* Until 700 AM HST.

* At 523 AM HST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Waikapu to near Kaupo, moving southwest at 10
mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
roofs and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
Kahului, Honokohau, Haliimaile, Kipahulu, Wailuku, Makawao, Paia,
Keokea, Olowalu, Wailea, Waihee, and Kaanapali.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread
wind damage across Maui, with numerous measured wind gusts between
