The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 63 in Morris and Litchfield. This project is scheduled to occur on Thursday, June 18 and be completed on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. The project 0174-0488CN "B" consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.14-mile segment of Route 63 in Morris and Litchfield from Route 109 (Thomaston Road) to Route 202. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Black and Boucher on Thursday, June 18 to Friday, June 26, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by O&G Industries is anticipated to begin on Monday, June 29 to Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 63 from Route 109 (Thomaston Road) to Route 202 in Morris and Litchfield. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
