Council On Aging Executive Board Recruitement

The City of Simi Valley is accepting applications from Simi Valley residents, aged 60 years or older, interested in serving on its Council On Aging (COA) Executive Board. Applications will be accepted through November 14, 2025.

The COA Executive Board advises the Simi Valley City Council on senior-related issues and helps plan and support fundraising efforts for senior programs. Board members are nominated by the COA General Membership and appointed by the City Council to serve a two-year term beginning February 1, 2026.

The Executive Board meets monthly, excluding July and August, at the Senior Center to discuss programs and initiatives impacting the City's senior population. Members also support fundraising efforts for senior programs. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 1:00 p.m.

"The Council On Aging plays an essential role in supporting and advocating for older adults in our community," said Bill Oliver, COA Chair. "We encourage anyone with a passion for service and experience in areas such as fundraising, finance, communications, or any area of importance to seniors, or administration to apply."

Applications are available online at https://www.simivalley.org/COA.
