Marquette students continue to report high rates of satisfaction with their education, with 96% of graduating seniors indicating they were satisfied with their undergraduate education, and 93% completing their degrees as quickly as planned, according to the 2024 Graduating Senior Survey.
The 2024 Graduating Senior Survey, administered in April 2024, investigated graduating seniors' satisfaction with their academic experience and overall Marquette education, engagement in co-curricular learning experiences, perceived impact of their education on institutional learning outcomes, and plans for the immediate future. The survey had a 41% response rate. The key takeaways report is available online. An interactive report includes several years of survey results and allows users to break the results down by college, gender, race/ethnicity and first-generation status.
As part of the survey, students respond to the question: "Who is one faculty or staff member who had the greatest positive influence on your Marquette experience?" Responses from the 2019 through 2024 surveys are available online. The comments are organized by the last name of the faculty or staff member mentioned. 2024 First-Time, First-Year Student Survey respondents expressed that Marquette was a top choice of colleges and universities that admitted them - with 94% of respondents indicating that Marquette was within their top three choices. Top concerns of first-year students include homesickness, being able to afford tuition and managing time with multiple priorities. About 84% of students agreed or strongly agreed that they feel like they belong at Marquette and 93% either already know, or know how to find, their academic advisor.
The 2024 First-Time, First-Year Student Survey, administered at the end of August, includes information about students' predicted academic success, their expectations for Marquette, their concerns, their sense of belonging and the activities in which they would like to get involved. The survey had a 92% response rate. The interactive data visualization, in which results can be disaggregated by college, gender, race and ethnicity, and first-generation status.
