Dollar General Literacy Foundation and Kellanova Give Back in Greenbrier, Tennessee

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation and Kellanova recently partnered to give back to students, staff and teachers at Greenbrier Elementary School in Greenbrier, Tennessee. The event included a surprise $50,000 Dollar General Literacy Foundation donation to the school, as well as food donations, goodie bags with reading inspired gifts and snacks and nearly 600 new library books from Kellanova.

"We're proud to support Dollar General in making special moments like this happen," said KimberLea Fowler, Kellanova Customer Team Lead. "At Kellanova, we work hard to create better days for the communities we serve, but we know we can't achieve that without the help of partners, like Dollar General, who share our commitment to doing good."

The $50,000 donation from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation plans to support the district's literacy programs. Administrators may use the funds at their discretion to purchase books, technology programs, computers and/or other education supplies or resources. All teachers and staff also received DG gift cards for supplies and materials.
