As Part of Barrier-Free Week, Olena Zelenska Attended the Premiere of a Veterans Theater Performance

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, together with Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko, Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy - Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna, and ministers, attended the performance of "Eneida" by Veterans Theater - a unique project by the Communications Department of the Command of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Theater of Playwrights.

This project combines psychological rehabilitation and creative fulfillment for veterans who have lived through traumatic experiences. Veterans are trained to write plays professionally and tell their own stories through theater, while also receiving support in their reintegration into society.

"In Veterans Theater's 'Eneida,' today's Cossacks are on stage. All of them have gone through a difficult journey. And performing on stage helps them rethink their wartime experience and find new perspectives," Olena Zelenska said.

The main idea of the project is to open a path toward inner healing and self-expression through physical expression, words, and music.

The First Lady thanked them for a professional and vivid performance and emphasized that creativity, and personal participation in it, can heal many wounds.

"Not only during Barrier-Free Week, but every day, year-round, we must remember this and make art accessible to everyone - and to ourselves," the President's wife concluded.
