Stolen Vehicle and Parole Violation: 09/14/2025 at 12:51 AM, Hayward PD's ALPR (Automated License Plate Reader) system alerted officers of a stolen vehicle detected in the area of Tennyson and Calaroga. Once officers located and stopped the vehicle, they determined the driver was not the owner of the vehicle. The driver who is also on parole from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation was arrested for possession of the stolen vehicle and a violation of his parole. The vehicle was stolen from Union City, UCPD was contacted to facilitate the return of the vehicle to the owner. Case 2025-53356
Burglary: 09/14/2025 at 12:13 PM, Officers responded to 275 Goodwin Street (Sorensdale Recreation Center) to investigate a burglary in progress. After arriving on scene, officers noticed the forced entry into the main office. They searched the surrounding area and located a male subject (Hayward resident) who was in possession of the stolen property. The subject was arrested for burglary, and the stolen property was returned to the Sorensdale Rec Center. Case 2025-53420
Possession of a Stolen Vehicle: 09/17/2025 at 01:47 AM, while patrolling in the 25000 block of Mission and Central Blvd, an officer located a parked stolen vehicle that was occupied by two individuals. The driver, a non-Hayward resident, was taken into custody for possessing the stolen vehicle; and the passenger (also a non-Hayward resident) was interviewed and released at the scene. The officer contacted the registered owner, who responded to the location and took possession of his vehicle. Case 2025-53984
