PINEHURST, N.C. - FirstHealth Hospice has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a "Superior Performer" for achieving an overall caregiver and family experience score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2024 calendar year.
The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge hospice providers that consistently provide high-quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care. The 2024 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Hospice caregiver experience score for more than 1,800 hospice providers.
"We are deeply honored to receive the 2024 SHPBest™ award," said Tina Gibbs, LCSW, FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care Director. "This recognition is a testament to our team's unwavering dedication to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients and their families during life's most tender moments. Being ranked among the nation's top hospice providers affirms our commitment to excellence."
With one of the largest CAHPS Hospice benchmarks in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made family and caregiver satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the CAHPS Hospice survey.
"SHP recognizes how much hard work is involved in providing excellent patient care, and we are proud to acknowledge the tireless efforts of our top-performing customers through our annual SHPBest award program," said Kevin Vogel, President of SHP. "These organizations care deeply about the patient experience, and they never stop striving to improve every single year."
