ANKENY, Iowa, May 12, 2026 - Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of a 63-room Country Inn & Suites hotel property located in the Des Moines MSA.
"This acquisition presented an attractive opportunity to acquire a well-positioned hotel with meaningful upside potential," said Jon Ruzicka, senior managing director investments. "The new ownership group plans to implement operational and property enhancements to further improve performance and long-term value. Ruzicka, investment specialist in Marcus & Millichap's Minneapolis office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller and procured the buyer.
Built in 1996, the Country Inn & Suites is situated on 1.49 acres at 2510 S.E. Tones Drive with direct access to Interstate 35. The property is adjacent to Ankeny Regional Airport and is near major employers including John Deere, Casey's General Stores headquarters and Tone's Spices. The hotel benefits from year-round demand driven by corporate travel, regional sports tournaments, community events and a nearby public university.
