Sonoma County - Caltrans is issuing an important reminder to all motorists traveling on State Route 116 (SR-116) in western Sonoma County: please slow down, stay patient, and obey temporary traffic signals along the active construction corridor west of Guerneville, between Sheridan Ranch Road and Vacation Beach.
Crews are currently managing multiple roadway and infrastructure improvement projects along this stretch of SR-116. To allow vehicles to travel safely through the narrow work zone, a one-way traffic control system with temporary traffic signals is currently in place.
Work Zone Rules of the Road:
Work on these SR-116 corridor safety improvements is anticipated to be completed in early 2027. All work is subject to change based on weather and field conditions.
