Two Ahern Employees Named 2026 Women in Construction Honorees

Fond du Lac, WI, July 17, 2026 - Ahern is celebrating Kara Pipping and Sierra Trojan who have been named to The Daily Reporter's 2026 Women in Construction list.

This list highlights the important role women play in the construction industry by celebrating groundbreaking women working within the Wisconsin construction community and recognizing those who, by achieving success, have also paved the way for other women in construction.

Pipping was named Administrator of the Year, and Trojan was named Unsung Hero of the Year. Both will be honored at an awards ceremony on August 20 in Milwaukee.

"Some people naturally find the spotlight, but Kara and Sierra are the kind of people who are usually too busy getting things done to look for it-which is exactly why this recognition fits them so well," said Krista Ebbens, Ahern's General Counsel and the company's Women in Construction Committee leader and executive sponsor. "Both bring hard work, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence to everything they do, finding a better way and making everyone around them better in the process. Their positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever they are needed represent the very best of Ahern."

Honorees are selected through an open nomination process. Industry professionals submit nominations highlighting candidates' accomplishments, experience, community involvement, and leadership or mentoring efforts. From there, submitted information is evaluated to select recipients.

Recognitions like this not only celebrate individual achievement but also highlight the growing presence and contributions of women across the construction industry. Ahern is committed to fostering an environment where individuals are supported in their development and empowered to make an impact.

"At Ahern, we've learned that great ideas and great leaders come from every corner of our organization. We support women in construction by creating opportunities to learn, grow, and take on meaningful responsibilities while surrounding them with coworkers and leaders who genuinely want to see them succeed," said Ebbens. "When people are given the chance to contribute, be challenged, and be recognized for their work, everyone-including our customers and our company-benefits."

Ahern congratulates Pipping and Trojan on this recognition and thanks them for their continued contributions to the company and the construction industry.
