GCCC Annual Facility Closure

The Genoveva Chavez Community Center (GCCC) will be closed from Saturday, October 11, to Sunday, October 19, 2025, for annual repair and maintenance projects. During this period, the following facilities will have adjusted schedules:

Gymnasium: Closed October 11-19

Fitness Center and Aquatics: Closed October 14-19

Ice Rink: Remains closed

Please note: Salvador Perez and Ft. Marcy Complex will remain open during this time.

Teens: Join Diego Medina for a Free Mural-Making Workshop!

Rising artist Diego Medina is hosting a free mural-making workshop for teens! Explore your creativity, meet fellow teen artists, and learn from a featured artist in the 12th SITE SANTA FE International.

Dates: October 10-12, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Location: Santa Fe Teen Center

Drop in for an hour or stay all weekend-no experience needed.

Teens will dive into the history and impact of the Transcendental Painting Group, with a focus on Agnes Pelton. Learn how TPG artists used color, shape, light, and composition to balance abstraction with representation and create spiritually inspired works.

Then, create your own large-scale landscape painting using these techniques to explore your connection to place and environment.

Snacks provided! Don't miss this chance to pick up a brush, make art, and connect with the Santa Fe teen arts community.
