Natia Turnava Meets with IMF Mission

The Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, Natia Turnava, met with the International Monetary Fund mission.


Natia Turnava briefed the mission members, led by Alejandro Hajdenberg, on the current state of the country's monetary policy and financial stability. She also highlighted macroeconomic prospects and associated risks.


The purpose of the ongoing mission is to review Georgia's macroeconomic environment, as well as the country's fiscal and monetary policies.


During the meeting with IMF representatives, the parties also discussed future cooperation in the area of technical assistance.


The meeting at the National Bank of Georgia was attended by the First Vice-Governor of the NBG, Ekaterine Mikabadze; Vice-Governors Ekaterine Galdava and Nino Jeladze; the IMF's Resident Representative in Georgia, Andrew Jewell; and heads of the NBG's departments.
