Man Dies Following Shooting in Early March in the Argay Terrace Neighborhood; Suspect Arrested

On March 5, 2026, at approximately 2:45 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to a motel in the 13300 Block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard on a report of a shooting. Officers located one victim who was transported to a local hospital.

On March 12, 2026, the Medical Examiner notified Homicide Detectives that the victim had died. On March 14, 2026, the Medical Examiner determined the victim died of homicide by gunshot wound. He is identified as Robert Mikel Lambert, 50 of Portland. His family has been notified of his death. They are requesting privacy at this time, but they did provide a photo for public release.

Following the shooting, members of the Enhanced Community Safety Team (ECST) responded to the scene and worked with patrol officers to locate a suspect after a brief search. Based on the severity of the victim's injuries, Homicide Detectives were also called to the scene to investigate. Pryce Lampkin, 40, was arrested and lodged in the Multnomah County Detention Center. At the time, he was charged with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Additional charges are pending.
