House Minority Leader Tony McCombie is calling on residents throughout her 89th legislative district to nominate a female leader to attend the annual House Republican Women to Watch event in the Capitol. The event on April 22nd, is organized by Leader McCombie, and recognizes the work of the attendees, celebrating their accomplishments, and networking among emerging women leaders across the state.
"Women across Illinois are leading in ways that don't always make headlines, but they are making a real difference every day," said McCombie. "This event shines a light on those leaders, celebrates their impact, and encourages the next generation to step forward with confidence."
Leader McCombie is now calling for nominations of women in the 89th District who are setting a positive example, leading with pride, and making a difference.
To nominate a resident, email [email protected] with "Women to Watch Nomination" in the subject line and include the following information in the email body: the name of the nominee, their contact information including phone number and email address, your relation to the nominee, nominee background, and reason why they should be chosen to attend. Nominations will be accepted until February 11th.
