Radio Republik Indonesia Jakarta has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the West Jakarta District Court (PN Jakbar) to expand public access to legal information. Signed on 24 July 2025, the agreement aims to improve broadcasting services for litigants, particularly by facilitating the dissemination of official court releases. These releases provide parties with crucial updates on case status and obligations, ensuring that legal processes are communicated clearly and efficiently.
Under the collaboration, the court will be able to issue summonses through RRI broadcasts, especially to individuals whose addresses are unknown. Chief Justice Moehammad Pandji Santoso noted that this collabiration would help speed up judicial procedures and reduce costs for litigants. He emphasised that delivering case-related information via public radio strengthens transparency and makes justice more accessible and affordable for those seeking it.
RRI Jakarta Station Head Mochamad Bugi Hidayat reaffirmed the broadcaster's commitment to providing timely and accurate public information. He highlighted that as a public broadcasting institution, RRI has a duty to share essential legal updates that can benefit society. Both organisations agreed that the MoU marks an important step towards improving openness in the judicial process and ensuring fairer access to legal services.
