Jefferson City - The Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations is proud to announce that Craftsmen Industries has been designated as a Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) participant. Craftsmen Industries is a leading provider of innovative mobile solutions for the industrial, military, medical, experiential, and kitchens industries, in addition to a full-service large format printing and architectural signage company.
The SHARP program, administered by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and partnered with the department's Division of Labor Standards' On-site Safety and Health Consultation Program, recognizes small business employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. Achieving SHARP status is a testament to Craftsmen's unwavering commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace for its employees.
"From entertainment popups at the FIFA World Cup to emergency command centers, Craftsmen products put Missouri quality workmanship on the world stage," said Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations Director Anna Hui. "Today we celebrate a company like Craftsmen whose success comes from a real commitment to workplace safety as well as ingenuity."
"We are incredibly honored to achieve SHARP status," said Mark Steele, President and CEO of Craftsmen. "This has been a tremendous achievement for us and has helped us further our commitment to the health and safety of each of our teammates. We are mindful that our safety journey is not finished and that a true culture of safety is built on the recognition of our need for continual improvement."

Central to this effort is their Brothers' and Sisters' Keeper philosophy, which encourages every employee to look out for one another and take ownership of safety on the job. Through continuous training, regular audits, and active employee involvement, safety is integrated into daily work and leadership expectations, reinforcing a culture where everyone goes home safe, every day.
The On-Site Safety and Health Consultation Program can help make workplaces safer and avoid OSHA penalties. Safety and health consultants provide an OSHA-type "mock" inspection at the workplace at no cost to the employer and without assessing any fines or penalties. The employer sets the scope of the visit, meaning the consultation can be limited to a specific work area, work phase, or can include the entire workplace.
