Wayne County Historical Society Awarded America 250-Ohio Grant
COLUMBUS-State Rep. Meredith Craig (R-Smithville) is pleased to announce that the Wayne County Historical Society was recently awarded $5,000 in grant funding from the America 250-Ohio Commission.
The Wayne County Historical Society will use the funding to educate children and adults about how Wayne County is a part of the 250th national celebration, specifically highlighting its role in the Revolutionary War and thereafter.
"Wayne County played an important role in our nation's history," said Craig. "I look forward to celebrating our community and learning more about our history as a result of this funding."
The America 250-Ohio Commission includes 29 members tasked with preparing Ohio to participate in the United States of America's 250th anniversary which culminates on July 4, 2026.
