The proposed project includes the construction of five 138 kilovolt (KV) transmission lines totaling 3.5 miles of new 100-foot right-of-way (ROW) and the rebuilding of approximately 0.4-mile of existing 100-foot 138 kV transmission line ROW.

January 21, 2026The proposed project includes the construction of five 138 kilovolt (KV) transmission lines totaling 3.5 miles of new 100-foot right-of-way (ROW) and the rebuilding of approximately 0.4-mile of existing 100-foot 138 kV transmission line ROW. The proposed Project starts at the existing Arboles Station (39.0154, -83.0122) in Pike County, Ohio, approximately 19 miles north of the city of Portsmouth. The proposed facilities will be located on US Department of Energy property, with easement secured by American Electric Power (AEP). The Project area includes predominantly existing maintained ROW, woodlots, commercial lawn grasslands, roadways, railroad, and gravel pad substations.
