Tree Clearing Finished Ahead of Schedule on CR 609 Infrastructure Project

Cumberland County contractor, Walters Marine, successfully completed tree clearing operations associated with the CR 609 (South Avenue) over Rocaps Run culvert replacement project. In accordance with project permit requirements, all clearing activities were required to be completed prior to April 1, and this milestone has been achieved on schedule.

With tree clearing now finished, the project area will remain largely quiet over the next few months. During this time, only utility relocation work will occur as preparations continue for the next phase. Major construction operations for the culvert replacement are scheduled to begin after July 1, in full compliance with project permit conditions.

The County remains committed to keeping residents informed as work progresses on this important infrastructure improvement. Additional updates will be provided as the project advances.
