Air Transat A.T. Inc. - Enforcement Action

Contravention

Pursuant to section 180 of the Canada Transportation Act, SC 1996, c 10 (CTA), the undersigned enforcement officer has issued this notice of violation believing Air Transat A.T. Inc. has committed the following 20 violations, On or about December 9, 2025, following a flight cancellation for a reason outside the carrier's control, Air Transat A.T. Inc., a large carrier who could not provide a confirmed reservation in accordance with subsection 18(1) of the Air Passenger Protection Regulations (APPR), failed to, at the passengers choice, refund any unused portion of the ticket or provide the passengers, free of charge, with a confirmed reservation for the next available flight that is operated by any carrier, contrary to subsection 18(1.1) of the APPR.
