TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson is once again partnering with Santa Claus to help spread Christmas cheer across the Sunshine State. Continuing a beloved holiday tradition, Commissioner Simpson and Santa are offering personalized Certificates of Clearance confirming that Santa and his reindeer are officially approved to enter Florida and deliver gifts to families across the state.
"From our beaches to our farmlands, Florida families know how to make Christmas special. I'm proud to partner with my pal Santa again this year to ensure he and his reindeer have everything they need to make their travels as safe and smooth as possible," said Commissioner Wilton Simpson. "Children across Florida can celebrate Santa's official clearance with a fun keepsake certificate - a reminder that Florida always cherishes its families and traditions."
Each certificate is customized with the child's name and signed by Commissioner Simpson, creating a festive memento to celebrate Santa's visit and add a little extra wonder to the holiday season.
Santa Claus said, "Florida has always been one of my favorite stops on Christmas Eve, and my reindeer look forward to it every year. I'm grateful to Commissioner Simpson for helping us to make sure we have a safe and joyful trip across the state - fueled, of course, by Fresh From Florida treats!"
How to Get Your Personalized Certificate
Parents and guardians can create their child's certificate by visiting christmas.fdacs.gov. After creating a certificate account, families will receive an official digital certificate to print and display ahead of Santa's arrival.
As part of the annual partnership between FDACS and the North Pole, Commissioner Simpson will issue an Emergency Order later this month waiving any department regulations or requirements that could interfere with Santa's travel across Florida on Christmas Eve. Additional details will be shared once the order is issued.
