Mexico City, Mex. October 1, 2026 - The HBO Original three-part documentary series CORREGIDORA: THE DARKEST NIGHT IN MEXICAN SOCCER premieres October 15 on HBO Max.

Across three episodes, the series revisits the events of March 5, 2022, during the match between Querétaro and Atlas, reconstructing what unfolded and examining its aftermath, the conflicting narratives surrounding the case, and the questions that, four years later, remain unresolved.

CORREGIDORA: THE DARKEST NIGHT IN MEXICAN SOCCER combines archival footage and previously unseen testimony from victims, witnesses, journalists, authorities, and others connected to the case, offering a comprehensive account of the events while exploring the different perspectives and the consequences that followed.

Through a journalistic and investigative lens, the documentary series examines one of the most consequential incidents in the history of Mexican soccer, contrasting official accounts with testimonies and evidence gathered throughout the investigation. Featured voices include journalists Óscar Balderas, Marion Reimers, and Álvaro Morales; Mauricio Kuri, Governor of Querétaro; Gabriel Solares, former president of Club Querétaro; as well as Querétaro and Atlas supporters who witnessed the events firsthand, among other interviewees. By bringing together these perspectives, the series invites audiences to examine the evidence, reflect on the unanswered questions, draw their own conclusions.

CORREGIDORA: THE DARKEST NIGHT IN MEXICAN SOCCER is directed by Alberto Arnaut and written by Mauricio Vélez and Lisa Estella. Mariano Cesar, Sergio Nakasone, and Cecilia Abraham serve as executive producers for Warner Bros. Discovery, with Luis del Valle serving as executive producer for Pacha Films.

CORREGIDORA: THE DARKEST NIGHT IN MEXICAN SOCCER is an HBO Original documentary series, produced by Pacha Films. All three episodes will be available on HBO Max on October 15.
