New Section of Panther Creek Parkway now open (including a new traffic signal)

(October 23, 2025) A new section of Panther Pkwy. has opened to traffic today between Dallas Pkwy. and Preston Rd. With the completion of this project, Panther Creek Pkwy. now provides a continuous route across the city (from FM 423 to Custer Rd.). In addition, a new section of Universal Pkwy. is now open between Everwell Ln. and Panther Creek Pkwy.; and a new traffic signal at the intersection of Panther Creek Pkwy. and Universal Pkwy. has also been activated today.

Drivers on Preston Rd. should pay special attention to the intersection with Panther Creek Pkwy. where traffic will now begin flowing to and from the west and the operation of the traffic signal will be slightly different. Similarly, drivers at the intersection of Universal Pkwy. and Everwell Ln. should pay special attention to the fact that traffic will begin flowing to and from the east, and the traffic signal will now be in full operation.
