Cathedral City voters should start checking their mailboxes. The County of Riverside Registrar of Voters has sent 1.4 million vote-by-mail ballots for the November 3, 2026, General Election to the U.S. Postal Service, and residents can begin filling out and returning their ballots as soon as they arrive.
"The County of Riverside Registrar of Voters encourages all eligible voters to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming General Election," said Art Tinoco, Registrar of Voters for Riverside County.
Returning Your Ballot in Cathedral City
Cathedral City residents have two official ballot drop-off locations close to home:
Both sites are open on Election Day, November 3, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. They are among 19 ballot drop-off locations across the Coachella Valley for the November 3 General Election. A full list of drop-off locations across Riverside County is available at voteinfo.net.
Submission Deadline
To be counted, completed ballots must be received at the Registrar of Voters office or any vote center in Riverside County by the close of polls at 8 p.m. on Election Day. Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received no later than seven days after Election Day, November 10, 2026.

Early Voting
Early voting at the Registrar of Voters office began October 5, 2026, and continues Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office will be open to voters on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Residents can check their eligibility and register online at registertovote.ca.gov, or request a paper application by calling (951) 486-7200.
