US-24 (Dixie Highway) curb and gutter project from Telegraph Road to I-75 begins April 7

WATERFORD, INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIPS, Mich. - A 9-mile curb and gutter project on US-24 (Dixie Highway) is expected to begin in northern Oakland County next week through late summer.

Beginning Tuesday, April 7, US-24 (Dixie Highway) will have one lane open in each direction between Telegraph Road and I-75, with work being performed in 1-mile increments. Crews will start at the south end of the project at Telegraph Road and work north to I-75.

This work will improve drainage along the highway, increasing safety during rain events and preserving the integrity of the roadway.
