Provide feedback Feb. 26 - March 19 for Route 240 Salt Creek bridge
JEFFERSON CITY , M o . - The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking community input on a project to replace the Missouri Route 240 bridge over Salt Creek in Howard County. Built in 193 2 , the Salt Creek bridge is in fair condition, showing signs it has reached the end of its useful life, and in need of replacement. Replacing the 93-year-old bridge will require a full closure of Route 240 at the bridge, with a signed detour. Construction is expected in 2027 .
As part of the design process, MoDOT is seeking community input and has multiple ways by which interested parties can provide feedback during the open comment period, Feb. 26 - March 19 , 202 6 . By commenting, questioning, and providing community insight, the public's input is essential in helping to guide the design and construction process.
