In pursuit of further growth and to strengthen its position in the nuclear sector, the Socotec Group has acquired Sofranext.
Sofranext provides training in the management of risks associated with jobs in the nuclear and radioprotection areas. The courses are designed for plant operators such as EDF, Areva, Cern and Andra, as well as maintenance contractors. Located near the nuclear plants in south-east France, Sofranext has been operating for almost 20 years. The company has 37 employees and generated revenue of EUR 2.5 million in 2013.
