IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 8, 2026 Chairwoman Amy Barela's statement on the appointment of Republican, Rex Wilson to SD-33 Santa Fe, NM - Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has appointed former Lincoln County Commissioner Rex Wilson to serve in the New Mexico State Senate, representing Senate District 33. The district encompasses Lincoln, Otero, and Chaves counties, and Wilson will assume his role as the districts senator as the 2026 Legislative Session is just days away.
