Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) will host an Aerospace and Defense Career Fair on Friday, March 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pioneer Event Center. The event will connect students with employers in aerospace, defense, military leadership, and related industries.
Several organizations have confirmed attendance, including Premium Aerospace Center, Orizon Aerostructures, AeroCore X, Torch Technologies, Delaware Resource Group, Air Evac, the Army National Guard Officer Leadership Development program, and the Stafford Air and Space Museum, which will be recruiting Stafford Scholars. The U.S. Air Force Sustainment Center will also attend for civilian recruiting. The center manages operations at Tinker, Hill, and Robins Air Force Bases.
Students are encouraged to attend the Career Fair to meet employers, explore career paths, and learn about internships and professional opportunities. Employers will be available throughout the day to discuss roles and pathways within these industries. Area high schools and career technology centers will attend, and SWOSU academic departments will share information about related degree programs. Admissions and Recruitment staff will also be available to provide information about educational opportunities at SWOSU.
The event demonstrates SWOSU's ongoing efforts to connect students with employers and industries that have a strong presence in Oklahoma, as well as providing opportunities to explore professional pathways while pursuing their degrees.
Organizations interested in registering to participate in the Aerospace and Defense Career Fair can do so at no cost and should contact Chad Kinder at [email protected].
