UNM School of Architecture + Planning to Host Lecture by Evelyn Lee

The UNM School of Architecture + Planning welcomes Evelyn Lee, who will provide a lecture on Monday, Oct. 26, 5-7 p.m., in the Garcia Honda Auditorium. The lecture, "Practicing in a Profession Being Rebuilt," draws on her experience leading Practice of Architecture, an advisory firm that helps practices "get clear on their business and culture of their practice first, and then ensure the technology they adopt supports their success."

Trained in both architecture and business, Lee applies her tech experience at Slack and Salesforce, leading her own practice, and her term as the 101st - and first female - president of the American Institute of Architects to help leaders to transform their practices to remain financially resilient, adopt new business models, and embrace new technology, including AI.

In addition to her advisory work, Lee invests in founders focused on building for the built environment, and she advises startups on strategy and operations. She also hosts Practice Disrupted, a podcast that features people changing how the work of architecture gets done.
