Frederick County Seeks Community Input on Bikeways and Trails Plan Rewrite Public Survey

FREDERICK, Md. - Members of the community are encouraged to complete the Bikeways and Trails Plan Rewrite Public Survey to provide feedback on Frederick County's network of bicycling facilities and trails.

The Bikeways and Trails Plan was adopted in 1999 and was most recently updated in 2018 to address both on-street bicycle facilities and off-street trails. This Plan aims to create a connected network of bike and pedestrian paths that everyone in the county can use.

The Frederick County Division of Planning and Permitting is currently rewriting the Bikeways and Trails Plan to address the growing needs of the community and to ensure that infrastructure is sustainable and accessible for all users.

Public input is essential to ensure that the plan meets the needs and desires of the community. The survey will remain open from Wednesday, November 12 until Thursday, December 11. To take the survey, please visit www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/BikewaysandTrailsSurvey.

For additional information about the survey, please contact Noah Fossick, Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator, at 301-600-6355.
