Nominations Open for 2025 Elgin Image Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2025 Elgin Image Awards, which honor individuals, projects and organizations that have made a positive impact on Elgin and helped make it a great place to live, work and visit.

These awards are presented each year by the Enhancing Elgin Committee, part of the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce and Elgin Development Group.

"The Elgin Image Awards are more than just accolades; they are a testament to the power of community spirit and the impact that dedicated individuals, projects, and organizations can have on our city's future," said Denise Raleigh, Enhancing Elgin co-chair.

How to Nominate
Nominations are open to the public and can be submitted online at bit.ly/4mS1DOI. The deadline is 5 p.m. Oct. 3. Submissions will be judged on impact, creativity, innovation and commitment to enhancing Elgin.

Awards Ceremony
Winners will be announced during a ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at The Centre of Elgin's Grand Ballroom, 100 Symphony Way. The event is hosted each year by the Enhancing Elgin Committee, a volunteer group dedicated to improving quality of life in the city.

2025 Award Categories

• Professional Rockstar - Honors individuals who have elevated Elgin's image through professional achievements.
• Volunteer Extraordinaire - Recognizes exceptional volunteer contributions to the community.
• Gamechanger Projects - Highlights innovative projects that have had a positive community impact.
• Creating a Difference Groups - Celebrates organizations or businesses enhancing Elgin's image.
• Green Initiative / Sustainable Business of the Year - Honors sustainability-focused efforts.
• Excellence in DEI or Building Equity - Recognizes outstanding commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Youth Service Project - Showcases youth-led projects by individuals aged 21 and under.
