This professional holiday embodies a high appreciation by the state and the society of the significance of work of those who dedicated their entire lives to the profession of the prosecutor, who loyally and faithfully serve the law, protect the rights and freedoms of citizens, uphold the law and contribute to strengthening the country's sovereignty.

Historic epochs revolved, but working in the prosecutor's office invariably required profound knowledge of the law, an ability to solidly and convincingly substantiate one's decisions, high personal responsibility and principled stance. These qualities are inherent in the best members of the procurator's corps of Russia even nowadays and serve as the right professional benchmark for younger employees.

Today, the Prosecutor's Office is rightfully one of the most important structures of state power. You solve a broad range of tasks to identify, suppress and thwart violations of the law, defend and restore rights and interests of citizens, society and the state, make a hefty contribution to the fight against crime and corruption, and support public prosecution in judicial instances.

There is no place for a formal or an indifferent attitude to your work. Ultimately, the fate of people, their reputation, and faith in justice and the power of the state depend on the prosecutor's decisions.

I believe that the staff of the prosecutor's office will continue to carry out their duties honestly and conscientiously, reliably safeguarding the law and the rule of law.
