It is alleged that on Monday, June 1, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Cheektowaga Police officers responded to a residence on Ellen Drive. Police found three victims, a 26-year-old female, a 4-year-old boy and 3-year-old boy, deceased inside of the home. The defendant is accused of intentionally causing the death of his wife and two children.

Mohamed is scheduled to return to Cheektowaga Town Court for a felony hearing on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. He was held without bail.

This afternoon, Mohamed was arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Erin Hart on one count of Murder in the Second Degree (Class A-I felony).

It is further alleged that earlier on Monday, June 1, 2026, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Buffalo Police officers responded to a store on the 1000 block of Grant Street near Military Road for a reported shooting. The victim, 43-year-old male, died at the scene. The defendant is accused of intentionally causing the death of the store clerk.

Mohamed is scheduled to return to Buffalo City Court for a felony hearing on Friday morning. He was remanded.

If convicted of the highest count, Mohamed faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole. Additional charges may be filed.

DA Keane commends the Cheektowaga Police Department and Buffalo Police Department for their work in these ongoing investigations.

The case is being prosecuted by Chief Eugene T. Partridge, III, Assistant District Attorney Justin H. Caldwell, and Assistant District Attorney Frank A. Strano of the Homicide Bureau.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
