Free Swim Lessons Return to Lancaster for World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ Event

Lancaster, CA. May 22, 2026 - As summer begins, the City of Lancaster is taking a proactive approach to water safety by participating in the World's Largest Swimming Lesson™ on Thursday, June 25. This international event serves as a crucial platform to spread the message that Swimming Lessons Save Lives™. By bringing the community together, the City aims to provide residents with the essential skills and awareness necessary to enjoy the water safely.

Drowning remains one of the leading causes of accidental death for young children, with children ages 1-4 at the highest risk. Lancaster is proud to help parents and kids build their confidence in the water so they can enjoy the pool safely all summer long.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Eastside Pool, where participants can join a free 30-minute group swimming lesson. Beginners and more advanced swimmers are all welcome to participate and learn basic water competency and lifesaving skills in a fun, supportive environment. Registration for this event opens on our website on Saturday, May 30, at 8 a.m. and will remain open until Thursday, June 22.

Space is limited to 200 swimmers, and families are encouraged to register early. Walk-ins are permitted based on availability; however, space cannot be guaranteed.
