(COLUMBIA, MO)- The City of Columbia invites residents, business owners and travelers who use the Business Loop to attend a public meeting for the Business Loop Road Safety Audit (RSA) from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Boone Electric Cooperative Community Building, 1413 Rangeline St. A presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting is an opportunity for the community to share feedback about travel safety and accessibility along the Business Loop corridor between Stadium Boulevard and Eastland Circle.
The City of Columbia has partnered with CBB Transportation Engineers + Planners, a St. Louis-based transportation engineering firm, to conduct a comprehensive Road Safety Audit of the corridor.
Residents, commuters and business owners are encouraged to share their perspectives, whether it's challenges crossing the street, getting children to and from school, navigating lanes and signals, using a mobility device or biking to work. Input collected during the meeting will help guide recommendations to make the Business Loop safer and more accessible for everyone.
For those unable to attend, additional opportunities for feedback will be available through the City's public engagement platforms. A survey can be found on the City's public engagement site, BeHeard.CoMo.gov/Business-Loop-RSA.
