Drazan and Diehl List Prominent Anti-Abortion, Anti-Choice Group as Endorsers

Portland, OR - Today, as the State Voters' Pamphletfor the May primary election becomes available, Christine Drazan and Ed Diehl are proudly bragging about their anti-abortion credentials with the inclusion of radical anti-abortion group Oregon Right to Lifein their endorsements.

According to reportingfrom OPB, some of Oregon Right to Life's most extreme stances include opposing abortion even in cases of rape, incest, or health of the mother, and opposing IVF and other forms of contraception.

Oregon Right to Life previously endorsedDrazan in her failed 2022 gubernatorial campaign. The organization also endorsedDiehl during his last primary race, praising his "commitment to pro-life principles in the legislature."

"Oregon Right to Life celebrated the fall of Roe v. Wade and staunchly opposes abortion at every possible opportunity," said Candy Emmons, Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Oregon. "Their endorsement of Drazan and Diehl signals that you can expect more of the same from either of them if elected governor. At a time when the federal administration continues their attacks on women and reproductive rights, we don't need a governor who will open the door for them - we need someone who will stand up to defend our values."
