Rege Nephro Co., Ltd. ("Rege Nephro") is pleased to announce that its CEO, Akifumi Morinaka, participated as a panelist at the press seminar organized by Bayer Yakuhin, Ltd. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, titled "The Path to the Leap of Japan's Drug Discovery Innovation: The Next Stage of Japanese Drug Discovery and the Evolving 'Bayer Co.Lab' Discussed by Startups, VCs, and Commercialization Experts."

At the press seminar, Friedemann Janus from Bayer, Germany (Head of Regional Business Development and Bayer Co.Lab, Pharmaceuticals) and Nobuhiro Kazama from Bayer Yakuhin Ltd. (Executive Officer, Head of Business Development Division) presented Bayer's open innovation strategy and introduced the new model for "Bayer Co.Lab."

During the panel discussion, participants engaged in a dynamic debate on "The Ideal Form and Outlook of Co-creation for the Leap of Drug Discovery Innovation in Japan." Bringing diverse perspectives from drug discovery support, venture capital investment, and startup management, Rege Nephro CEO Akifumi Morinaka spoke from the standpoint of a drug discovery and regenerative medicine startup, sharing insights and future outlooks on driving and commercializing promising technologies and seeds.
