Public Meeting About Deaccession of Three Sculptures

Thursday, December 12, 2024 • 6:00 p.m.
Creve Coeur Government Center, 300 N. New Ballas Rd.

The Arts Committee invites the public to attend an upcoming public meeting to discuss the proposed deaccession of three sculptures currently part of the city's public art collection.

The three sculptures were originally donated to the city by artist Shawn Burkard in 2014. In accordance with the Creve Coeur Public Art Master Plan, the Arts Committee is proposing removing the three sculptures due to their low aesthetic value and poor condition. Following the public meeting in December, the Arts Committee will present its recommendation to the City Council for consideration.
