Congress successfully passed a resolution repealing a Biden Energy Department rule that would have imposed needless restrictions on walk-in coolers and freezers. CEI energy policy expert Ben Lieberman praised the vote and urged President Trump to sign it into law:
"Both the House and Senate have passed H.J.Res. 24, which repeals a Biden administration Department of Energy rule imposing burdensome energy conservation standards on walk-in coolers and freezers. We applaud the reversal of as many of these bad appliance regulations as possible, in this case one that would have harmed many small businesses and raised food costs on consumers. We look forward to seeing the President sign it into law and hope that doing so creates momentum for additional red tape cutting."
