The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-95 north and southbound in Stamford and Darien. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, May 4 and be completed on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The project DOT01730543CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.4-mile segment in the center lane of I-95 in Stamford and Darien between Exits 9 and 10. This project is scheduled to begin milling and resurfacing by Waters Construction on Monday, May 4, 2026 to Saturday, May 9, 2026.
This project is included in CTDOT's 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of I-95 north and southbound between Exits 9 and 10. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday night to Saturday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
