The George Washington University community came together on Saturday at the Mount Vernon Campus for Fountain Day. At the annual spring celebration, the Vern's iconic fountain, which stands at the center of the campus' quad, is turned on for the first time of the year. Attendees enjoyed food, colorful treats from Happy Hippo shaved ice truck, yard games, a raffle and plenty of bubbles. The warm, sunny day provided a classic spring setting for the beloved GW tradition and brought plenty of students out of their residence halls for a break before finals.
