RESCISSION OF BOIL WATER NOTICE

OCALA, Fla. (Oct 11, 2025) - The City of Ocala Water Resources Department has rescinded a Florida Department of Health-required boil water notice affecting customers located at Pointe Grand at Heath Brook due to a water main break.

The original notice was released on Thursday, Oct. 9, due to possible contamination of drinking water from a main water break. The City of Ocala Water Resources Department advises that the water is now safe to drink, cook with, and conduct all normal daily activities. The lines in the affected area were flushed, and several samples were collected. Tests show that the water has had no signs of bacteria for two consecutive days, and the chlorine residual meets regulatory standards.

For more information, please contact the Water Resources Department at 352-351-6772.
