The City of Pasadena invites residents and community partners to review the draft of the updated 2025 Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) . This important document outlines the City's strategy to reduce risks to human life, property, and infrastructure posed by natural and human-caused disasters such as earthquakes, wildfires, and flooding. Your input is vital in shaping the plan to better address the needs of our community.
Why is your feedback essential?
The Local Hazard Mitigation Plan provides a long-term framework to protect our city from future hazards while ensuring eligibility for federal mitigation funding. By participating in the review process, you can help refine the strategies and actions outlined, ensuring they are practical, inclusive, and effective for Pasadena's unique needs.
What does the plan include?
The LHMP identifies the hazards affecting Pasadena, profiles the risks, and outlines the City's capabilities to implement mitigation projects. It also provides a detailed mitigation strategy to minimize the impacts of these hazards in the future.
How can you get involved?
We encourage everyone to review the draft plan, share feedback, and contribute ideas to improve it. Residents are encouraged to complete a short survey to provide feedback on the draft.
