EU4Culture phase II - Sustainable Creative Ecosystems was launched on 12 March 2026 during an online kick-off event that brought together representatives of the European Commission, EU Delegations, members of the European Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) and representatives of European Networks.
The event marked the formal start of the programme, presenting its vision, objectives and key activities while providing an opportunity to exchange views on the importance of cultural cooperation following the Team Europe approach.
Funded by the European Union, EU4Culture II will be implemented by Goethe-Institut from 2025 to 2029.
Recognised as a Flagship action under European Commission's Culture Compass for Europe the programme will strengthen the cultural and creative sectors as drivers of economic growth, social cohesion and resilience across the Eastern Partnership (EaP) - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Belarusian cultural community in exile. EU4Culture II will empower creative ecosystems and deepen cooperation between EaP cultural actors and the European networks.
With its official launch, EU4Culture II begins a new journey of supporting stronger, more connected, and resilient cultural and creative sectors across the EaP region.
