Carter joins Georgia GOP in urging Senators Warnock and Ossoff to reopen the government

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA) today released the following statement after joining every Republican member of Georgia's Congressional Delegation in signing a letter urging Senators Jon Ossoff (D-GA) and Raphael Warnock (D-GA) to put Georgians ahead of partisan politics and work to reopen the federal government:

"Georgians deserve a government that is open and working to advance President Trump's agenda, which they overwhelmingly voted for back in November. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock are standing in the way of troops getting paid, food assistance going to women, children, and infants, and telehealth services being accessible for seniors. It's time to end the partisan games and put hardworking Georgians first by reopening the government."
