NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (April 28, 2026) - The City celebrated a lively and inspiring Take Your Child to Work Day on April 23, beginning in Council Chambers, where Mayor Cahill, City staff, and Field Day Fox greeted an enthusiastic group of young visitors.
Following this warm welcome, the children embarked on a comprehensive tour of City Hall and Civic Square, gaining an inside look at the heart of local government operations. The morning continued with a cultural excursion to the Trust Art Gallery, followed by a midday break for lunch at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center.
In the afternoon, the group headed to the Youth Sports Complex for a hands-on experience with the City's essential services. There, they had the opportunity to explore various vehicles from the Police, Fire, Water, Parks, and Department of Public Works departments while enjoying a series of games and a visit from an ice cream truck.
